Scared of so many things.
The first time I wrote about myself was in 2014. It wasn’t very personal, not vulnerable at all, but it was me; my voice, my opinion, and it scared me to put it out into the world.
That post garnered over 50,000 views in the first week.
I stared at the first copy of my first book. It took six years of writing to birth that novel. Thinking about putting it out into the world for everyone to read, consume, criticize, and enjoy frightened me as much as it excited me.
That novel has sold thousands of copies independently.
I’ve fought through fear my entire writing career and I’ve learned a lot. I know specific tactics to fight through the fear and still push forward to accomplish my goals.
And now I’m scared again. Why? Because I’m sharing those tactics with all of you and I have no idea how this is gonna go.
I put together something called a FEAR GUIDE. It’s a journal but one that incorporates my story into the experience. Think of it as a companion for all emerging writers ready to break free from your emotional roadblocks and make a living from your passion.
But I’m scared.
That’s probably why I told my business partner to cut the price from $13.99 to $1.99. I just want writers to try it without worrying about cost. I meet so many of us who are so scared to get started, scared to keep going, frightened to share their work with the world because we don’t think our writing is good enough.
This FEAR GUIDE is your way through the darkness and confusion I felt and continue to feel every time I tread new water.
I hope you try it. I know you’ll all find some value in the prompts and stories throughout the journal. And at less than two bucks, I’d say it’s more than worth the risk.
So try it, and give me some feedback. If you tell me what you think, maybe I won’t sweat through my pajamas for the rest of the day.
